North San Diego Small Business Development Center

The North San Diego Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is hosted by MiraCosta College and is funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration and MiraCosta College. Their service area covers all of San Diego County north of Interstate 8.

The SBDC is dedicated to increasing the economic vitality of the community by helping small businesses and entrepreneurs build a foundation for success! The center staff and business advisors are here to assist in answering business questions along with providing resources to help start or grow a business profitably. The SBDC also hosts a series of free and fee-based workshops that can provide you with invaluable advice.

NEW in 2019! Beginning Oct. 7, 2019 through December 2020, the City and SBDC are scheduling free one-on-one counseling sessions for existing small business owners at the City's Public Works Facility on Calle Magdalena. New business owners will need to first complete the SBDC's Entrepreneurship Academy to get access to the free one-on-one sessions. There is no charge for One-On-One Business Advising. Sessions are by appointment only. No walk-ins will be accepted. 

When: Monday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (by appointment only).

In partnership with the San Diego Law Library, the City of Encinitas also hosts an ongoing series of workshops designed to help businesses start and grow in Encinitas.
