CANCELLED - iPalpiti Festival

The 2020 iPalpiti Festival of International Laureates will celebrate the 23rd year of the music festival led by Maestro Eduard Schmieder.

We are sorry to report that we must cancel the concert due to COVID-19 concerns.

Festival highlights will include performances by artsits-in-residence Trio Zadig, from France, and a first-ever concert by the iPalpiti Orchestra at the new Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center in La Jolla.

The LA Times has called the multi-week music festival, “the highlight of the summer.” Twenty-four award-winning young artists from 22 countries, including Ecuador, Turkey, Italy, Japan, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Belgium, France, Armenia and Poland, will perform under the direction of Maestro Schmieder. The acclaimed ensemble of international musical soloists is often referred to as the “United Nations of Classical Music.” Mark Swed of the LA Times has said, “A world-class performance by young players with technique to burn.”

From July 15-17, the festival begins in Encinitas, presenting three different concerts that will showcase their exceptional musical ability and virtuosity, and will end on July 25 with a finale concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

Soloists Concerts

On July 15, 16 and 17 at 7:30pm, the festival’s ensemble-in-residence, the critically acclaimed Trio Zadig, with an impressive 11 international competition prizes, along with four iPalpiti Soloists, will present three different concerts at the Encinitas Library, 540 Cornish Drive, Encinitas CA 92024. Orchestra Concert

On Saturday, July 18 at 7:30pm, the iPalpiti Orchestra, conducted by Eduard Schmieder, will perform a concert of masterworks at the Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center, 7600 Fay Ave, San Diego, CA 92037. Concert information and repertoire is forthcoming.
