My inspiration with the Light & Space Movement began 6 years ago. Independently thinking on how to evolve from my former series, DISSOCIATION, I arrived at the idea of going into the essence of light, as I was already depicting it in a realistic manner as the silver lining coming through clouds. That depiction of light, as my interpretation of the light spectrum, was for me a necessary expression of hope. It was at that point, that I went into the Getty Museum archives in Los Angeles to intensely study the movement. This, as it turned out was a natural evolution of my work, and has incessantly continued to this day, which has culminated in my series GLIMMER with more than 30 paintings produced. Thus, my works are distinguished by natural light episodes in expressive cloud formations, combined with the light spectrum. This original concept I call “bilingual” because I am integrating geometric abstraction with realism and it is my signature as a unique expression and contribution to the Light & Space movement.
