San Diego County Case Count: 242

As of 8:00 a.m. on March 24, San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) reported 242 positive COVID-19 cases, of which 7 are Encinitas cases.

The Stay at Home Order

As a reminder, on Thursday, March 19, California Governor Gavin Newsom issued an order for anyone living in the state to stay home, except for those providing essential services. The Governor urged people to avoid gathering in public spaces, such as parks and beaches and to only leave the house for essential reasons. This order is in place until further notice.

Voluntary compliance to the Public Health Order is essential to limiting the spread of COVID-19 in our community.  To report an issue of non-compliance, call the North Coastal Sheriff Station’s non-emergency phone number at (760) 940-4300.

Temporary Encinitas Beach Closures – COVID-19

To help control the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the City of Encinitas has closed all City owned and operated beaches, beach access points and beach parking lots until further notice.  The cities of San Diego, Del Mar, and Solana Beach have also closed their respective city beaches.
