Encinitas Parks Remain Open

All City-owned parks and trails remain open. However, active areas such as children’s play equipment, fields, courts, the dog park, and skate park/features have temporarily been closed to support regional efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  For more details, please visit https://encinitasca.gov/Residents/Parks-Beaches-Trails/Parks.

Manchester Preserve Closes Temporarily

The Center for Natural Lands Management (CNLM) has temporarily closed the Manchester Preserve due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The CNLM is reporting that the trails and trail heads have been overcrowded and users are not maintaining safe physical distancing, staying on designated trails, and damaging the native habitat.

The City of Encinitas maintains trails that run through the preserve but does not manage the preserve or own the land.  This is a temporary closure and the CNLM says the situation will be re-evaluated as needed.  Signs have been posted. For more information, visit https://www.cnlm.org/.

Community Resource Center

The Community Resource Center (CRC) in Encinitas continues with their daily distribution of resources such as food and supplies to residents in a safe manner by increasing the cleaning schedule, practicing physical distancing, and minimizing touching or contacting surfaces.
