The Encinitas Holiday Parade - presented by Ting Internet will take place on Saturday, December 4 on Coast Highway 101. The parade begins at 5:30 PM with entries moving south on 101 from D Street to J Street. It is preceded by a 5:00 PM tree lighting ceremony with a brief appearance by Santa at the Lumberyard Shops courtyard (between H and I Street on the east side of 101).
The Encinitas Holiday Parade Committee is excited to announce the 2021 parade theme is “Encinitas Rocks!”. At the 2021 Parade, we invite our parade entries to go all out with creativity, showcasing great music across different genres and generations. The Parade Committee is also happy to name Encinitas’ own, Earl Flores as the 2021 Parade Grand Marshal. Give Earl and his band a hoot and a holler as they once again play in Santa Claus to close out this year’s parade.
FREE Holiday Parade Shuttle. Please note, CA Dept of Public Health requires masks on all public provided transportation. Shuttle buses will take Parade spectators to and from the Parade from two convenient shuttle locations: Ecke Sports Park/YMCA and San Dieguito Academy High School (parking lot at corner of Melba Road/Nardo Road). Both shuttles start running at 4pm with last pick-ups from the parade stop until 8:30pm. The ADA accessible buses run from the San Dieguito Academy location. Shuttles run approximately every 20 minutes and will drop you off at the NCTD bus station on Vulcan Avenue, just a half block from the Parade route.
The City of Encinitas asks that all parade participants and spectators wear face coverings.
