Leucadia Streetscape Project Update

Final Asphalt Paving: El Portal Street Roundabout and Southbound Lanes on N. Coast Highway 101 from Marcheta Street to A Street on Thursday, April 28th

On Thursday, April 28, the Leucadia Streetscape team will place the final asphalt pavement on the project. During this operation, both northbound and southbound N. Coast Highway 101 traffic from Marcheta Street to A Street will be shifted to the northbound side of the road. Traffic flow will be maintained in both directions and temporary stop signs will be placed at Marcheta Street and A Street with flaggers on hand to help guide travelers.

The bike lane will be temporarily out of service during this time and bicycles will take the full lane while traveling through the corridor. No parking signs will be setup along the west side so the asphalt parking areas can be repaved. Access for businesses and residents will be maintained at all times during the work and temporary access routes will be in place.

Please obey all construction signs in the area and travel safely and slowly through the construction zones. We thank you and the community for your cooperation and patience during construction.

Evening Work: Final Traffic Striping Along N. Coast Highway 101 from Sunday, May 1st to Thursday, May 5th

On the evening of Sunday, May 1, final project traffic striping work will begin and continue each night until the evening of Thursday, May 5. The striping work will encompass the entire project corridor from A Street to Cadmus Street.

No parking signs will be setup along the west side of the corridor so the bike lanes and parking areas can receive their final striping. No roads will be closed and normal traffic flow will be maintained with minor delays.
