ENCINITAS, CA - The City of Encinitas is hosting an informative, interactive forum to educate residents about easy-to-implement and environmentally conscious household food waste strategies.
Community members are invited to attend the Food Waste Forum on Tuesday, April 16 at the Encinitas Community Center (Room 142 B) from 6-9 p.m. The event is free to attend, but registration is encouraged.
At the event, attendees will learn:
- Tips for reducing their food waste
- New state laws relating to food waste
- Best practices for Encinitas residents
The event is cohosted by CalRecycle, San Diego Food System Alliance, I Love a Clean San Diego, Solana Center for Environmental Innovation, City of Oceanside and EDCO.

ABOUT THE CITY OF ENCINITAS
Located along six miles of Pacific Ocean coastline in northern San Diego County, Encinitas has an approximate population of 60,000 and is characterized by coastal beaches, cliffs, flat-topped coastal areas, steep mesa bluffs and rolling hills.
