PROJECT STATUS

The project is currently at 90% design and is finalizing Compliance Review with its Planning Application.  Once complete, the project will go to the Planning Commission for approval.

ABOUT THE PROJECT   

Glen Park is a day use park located in the community of Cardiff in the City of Encinitas.

The Glen Park ADA Improvements Project (CF18A) will modify the two existing accessible parking spaces in the main parking lot as well as the accessible parking space near the tennis and basketball courts for ADA compliance. The project will reconstruct the existing walkway between the main parking lot and the restroom area to meet ADA requirements.  The project will also reconstruct a walkway path that leads from the restroom area to the picnic pavilion and then to the playground. 

The project work is identified in the City’s ADA Transition Plan and the ADA Self-Evaluation Plan and will address parking and paths of access.

The project is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to provide effective, safe, and easy transportation for all modes of movement and for all demographics.
