Clinton Davis

Clinton Davis is an old-time folk musician currently based in San Diego, California. A fifth-generation Kentuckian, Davis grew up in rural Carroll County. His repertoire spans fiddle and banjo music native to his family home, the exuberant ragtime piano and guitar of early 20th-century New Orleans, and ballad songs and dance music of the Southwest.

Awaken the Poet Within Workshop

Awaken the Poet Within is presenting a workshop for Art Night with Dr. Marit Anderson on Ekphrastic Poetry, written words inspired by a personal response to visual art. Guests will explore the art of painter, Cathy Carey, and the wonderful figures of Luis Murguia, both on display at Encinitas Library, create their own ekphrastic poems, and read their poetry at an open mic finale.
