Life Writing: The Craft of Writing Your Life

Instructor: Darius Degher

Aug 14, 2024 - Sep 18, 2024
Wednesdays 1:30-3pm

Number of sessions: 6

Life writing is a reflective and often therapeutic experience, for seniors or for anyone. It can be an inward personal journey, a serious literary endeavor, or both. This course is centered on the craft skills involved in writing engaging memoir essays: image, voice, setting, plot, dialogue, etc. And, if you like, these essays can be the beginning of a collection, a memoir, the book of your life. Expect mini-lectures, workshops, and exercises. Bring a laptop or paper & pen.
