Jacopo Giacopuzzi, piano
As a soloist and chamber musician, Jacopo has performed at major festivals and venues throughout the United States and Europe under the direction of world-renowned conductors such as Dian Tchobanov, Robert Wills, and others. He is the winner of 14 international competitions including the International Piano Competition San Dona di Piave, Ibiza International Piano Competition, and the International Liszt Competition in Los Angeles, among others.
Ambroise Aubrun, violin
Hailed as a “marvelous violinist” (France Musique) with “sensitive tone” (Pizzicato Magazine) and “tremendous ease, suppleness and beauty of sound” (Nice-Matin), violinist Ambroise Aubrun enjoys a career as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. He has performed extensively and conducted Master Classes around the world.
Ludovica Rana, cello
Ludovica Rana is a laureate of prestigious competitions, such as the 30° Rassegna Nazionale d’Archi “M. Benvenuti” in Vittorio Veneto in 2010 and the 9° International Competition for young cellists “A. Janigro” in Croatia in 2012. She took Special Prize at Premio delle Arti, competition organized by the Italian Ministry for Education and Research, and Young Virtuoso Prize at First Manhattan International Music Competition. She graduated the Conservatory of Music “G. Paisiello” in Taranto, Conservatoria della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano and Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
She is currently artistic director of chamber music season Sfere Sonore and teaches Chamber Music at Conservatory in Bari. Ludovica plays a cello by Claude – Augustin Miremont (1870)
Anthony Trionfo, flute
Praised as a “breezily virtuosic flutist” by The New York Times, Anthony Trionfo has performed as a soloist with orchestras including the Grant Park Festival Orchestra, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, and Riverside Symphony. In recital, Anthony recently presented programs alongside pianist Albert Cano Smit for the Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota, Morgan Library & Museum, and Cosmos Club in Washington, DC. He is second flutist of ProMusica Chamber Orchestra in Ohio and frequently appears with the Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and Princeton Symphony.
Eric Shetzen, double bass
Double bassist Eric Shetzen maintains a multi-faceted career as a performer, teacher, and recording artist. He received both his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at the Juilliard School in New York City and for three years served as Principal Bass of the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra in Osaka, Japan. He also spent several seasons as a Fellow in the New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy directed by Michael Tilson Thomas. An avid chamber musician, Eric has collaborated with the Lyris String Quartet, Salastina Music Society, violinists Maxim Vengerov and Jennifer Koh, and conductors Lorin Maazel and James Conlon. His festival appearances include the Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival, Incontri in Terra di Siena Festival, Castleton Festival, and the PRISMA Festival. Eric now performs as a freelance bassist in Los Angeles where he has been featured on several distinguished contemporary concert series.
Maddalena Giacopuzzi, piano
Since she was a child Maddalena Giacopuzzi has distinguished herself in the musical overview by winning the First Prize in several National and International Competitions: in 2016 she won the Third Prize at the Rina Sala Gallo Piano Competition in Monza and in 2015 she won the First Prize at the 53rd “A. Speranza” International Piano Competition in Taranto and at the 6th Massarosa International Piano Competition. She was selected to take part to the final rounds of the Montreal International Competition in 2017, the Cleveland International Piano Competition in 2016, the Busoni Piano Competition 2017.
She is currently on the Piano faculty of the Conservatorio "G. Paisiello" in Taranto, Italy.
Alessandro Marrocco, percussion
Alessandro Marrocco approaches the study of drums and percussion at a very young age, first entering the class of Maestro Stefano Baldoni at the N. Rota Conservatory in Monopoli and later studying with Maestro Danilo Grassi at the A. Boito Conservatory in Parma, where he graduated with top marks. He attends masterclasses and advanced courses with various drummers and percussionists including Carmelo Gullotto, Edoardo Giachino, Andrea Santarsiere, Pasquale Bardaro, Mark Braafhart, Elya Melikhov, Claudio Romano, Raymond Curfs, Nick Woud, Christian Meyer, Marco Volpe, Maurizio Dei Lazzaretti, Alfredo Golino, Benny Greb, Jojo Majer. He mainly carries out his artistic activity in orchestral and various ensemble contexts, ranging from symphonic, operatic, to contemporary repertoire. As a percussionist and timpanist, he participates in various festivals and events throughout Italy.
