PROJECT STATUS

Construction was completed in May 2024 and the Notice of Completion was presented to City Council on June 26, 2024. 

BACKGROUND

The B Street Sewer Main Improvements Project served to upsize an existing 8-inch sewer main between Third Street and Fourth Street to 12 inches and added a new sewer manhole for access.  Curb modifications were added to the project at the corner of 4th and B Street. 

This project was identified in the City’s Sewer Asset Management Program which identifies sewer lines and manholes in need of rehabilitation. If these sewer lines are not rehabilitated or replaced, it would increase the risk of failure and wastewater spills, and possible contamination of groundwater and surface waters.   

This project is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to maintaining safe and livable communities through consistent maintenance, as outlined in the City’s Strategic Plan.
