• Hardscape elements such as patio covers, firepits, outdoor BBQs, and gazebos will require a separate permit.
• Pool Permit documentation must be consistent with associated building permit requirements, if applicable. See Local Energy and Green Building Requirements.

Complete or gather the following forms and save to your computer or device. You will upload these items when you apply through CSS:

• Application - Grant Deed
• Application - Supplemental
• Owner Authorization Affidavit
• Business Registration - If applicant is a business. Can apply at end of submittal process.
• Calculations - Building Square Footage
• County Hazardous Materials Questionnaire (Commercial & Mixed Use only)
• Form - Construction and Demolition Debris-Waste Management Plan
• Plans - Building (guidelines)
• Tech Study - Geotechnical Report (if next to slope or if the addition is over 500 sq. ft.)
• Form - Title 24 Energy Efficiency Compliance (CA State) (Energy Efficiency Document Determination guideline)

Additional Items Which May Be Required During the Process:

• Calculations - Electrical Service Load
•  Certificate - Non Residential Construction
• Certification - Sewer & Water District
• County Health Approval - The following is a non-inclusive list of examples when health department approval is required:
  • Drinking & Dining Establishment
  • Food and/or Drink Retailer

  • Multi-Family (non-owner occupied)
  • Pools/Spas (open to public)
