An operational permit is required for air-supported temporary membrane structure or a tent having an area in excess of 400 square feet. California Fire Code (CFC) 105.7.16. A structure or tent less than 400 square feet does not require a permit.

Complete or gather the following forms and save to your computer or device. You will upload these items when you apply through Customer Self Service (CSS):

• Business Registration
• Certificate of Flame Resistance - issued by State Fire Marshal
• Floor Plan
• Site Plan

Once you have completed and gathered the required documentation, you are ready to apply.
