Cybersecurity is staffed by a multifaceted team of technologists from the IT Operations & Engineering and Applications divisions. Together, they work to defend against an exponential rise in threats to our digital infrastructure with a focus on reliable, secure, and innovative technological solutions that enable efficient service to the public.

Security Operations Center

Cybersecurity defense requires focused attention on the City's infrastructure every minute of the year. To mitigate the risk of a breach occurring when no one or system is looking, the City employs a 24/7 Security Operations Center.

Cybersecurity Compliance Committee (C3)

The Cybersecurity Compliance Committee (C3) has been established as a joint task force co-sponsored by Information Technology and Risk to provide knowledge and direction to assess and mitigate the cybersecurity risk to the City with support from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), San Diego Law Enforcement Coordination Center (SDLECC), and Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC).
