On May 25, 2022, City Council awarded a construction contract for the Leucadia Streetscape Safety and Mobility Improvements Project (Segment B-C Mobility Striping) to implement the Leucadia Streetscape road diet and stripe a separated bike lane on North Coast Highway 101 between Basil Street and La Costa Avenue. The project included modifications to the medians surrounding Leucadia Boulevard.
On March 23, 2022, City Council authorized the deferral of the Bishops Gate Road Roundabout and approved funding for redesign costs for Segment C.
On October 27, 2021, City Council authorized the submission of an application to the California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank (IBank) for financing a Capital Improvement Project, authorized the incurring of an obligation payable to IBank for the financing of a Capital Improvement Project

At a special meeting on June 23, 2021 , City Council authorized design of a project to implement the ultimate Leucadia Streetscape striping on Coast Highway 101 between Basil Street and La Costa Avenue. City Council also authorized design of Segment C West of Leucadia Streetscape, a west-side focus project between Jupiter Street and La Costa Avenue.
March 21, 2018 - Item 10 A. City Council approved Leucadia Streetscape’s Environmental Impact Report, Local Coastal Program Amendment, Design Review and Coastal Development Permit Public Hearing to consider General Plan, North 101 Corridor Specific Plan and Local Coastal Program Amendments, Design Review Permit and Coastal Development Permit, EIR, Findings of Facts, Statement of Overriding Considerations and Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program for streetscape improvements to North Coast highway 101 including lane diets, roundabouts, parking, bike lanes, sidewalks, crosswalks, street furniture, landscaping, traffic speed reduction and drainage improvements.
On October 10, 2007, City Council authorized public outreach and creation of a design concept for Leucadia Streetscape to provide enhanced frontage as well as pedestrian, bicycle, drainage, and vehicular improvements along approximately 2.5 miles of the North Coast Highway 101 corridor in Leucadia.
