Encinitas Oakcrest Cafe Lunch Program for Adults 60+
Enjoy a nutritious and satisfying dining experience weekdays at the Encinitas Community and Senior Center's Oakcrest Café for Adults 60 plus. Fill out the online registration form and bring to the center or register on site after reserving your spot in advance.
The City of Encinitas Senior Center is proud to work with program provider, Essenco, Inc. who ensures that nutritional needs are balanced to deliver a dining experience focused on quality, taste, variety, and presentation. Essenco, Inc. prepares its meals from fresh, natural ingredients, and minimizes the use of processed foods.
Suggested daily meal contribution is $5 for adults 60+ with a $8 fee per meal for ages under 60. Reservations are required and can be made up until 12 p.m. one business day before you would like to have lunch, by calling (760) 943-2258. Check-in for lunch between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Lunch is served at 11:40 a.m. We look forward to serving you! *Please note, registration is required for all participants and must be updated annually if there are changes.

Lunch Transportation Program
The Encinitas Senior Center's Transportation Program is for Encinitas residents who are interested in attending lunch at the Encinitas Oakcrest Café and meet eligibility requirements. Passengers will be picked up at home before lunch and dropped off after lunch. Online transportation application here or you can fill out on site. Application, qualification, and supervisor approval required before a ride can be requested. For Lunch Transportation information, contact the office at (760) 943-2258.

Nonresident cost is $7 + $3 + $2.90 transaction fee.
Credit card processing fee = 3.4%. Cash or check accepted.
Registration available online or in person at the Center. Make new friends while mingling and moving. One hour line dancing lessons, raffle opportunities, and snacks.

City of Encinitas Senior Citizen Commission
The Senior Citizen Commission consists of seven members who are registered voters of the City of Encinitas. The role of the Commission is that of an advisory board to the City Council to research and address senior citizen concerns. As representatives of senior citizens, the Commission works on projects to improve the quality of life for Encinitas Seniors. The public is welcome to attend the monthly Senior Commission meetings at City Hall on the third Tuesday of the month at 2:00 pm. Please note the Senior Citizen Commission does not meet in July and December.

San Diego Eldercare Directory
The Eldercare Directory, published by the San Diego Union-Tribune, provides facts, advice, tips and resources to help you find answers to the questions that arise as you age. You will find information about housing, nutrition and finances. In addition, the directory offers listings on housing alternatives, getting help at home and health care services. Also included is information that caregivers might find useful. The directory is free and available at the Encinitas Senior Center to help you make better informed choices, or visit www.SanDiegoEldercare.com. The Encinitas Senior Center does not endorse or recommend any of these agencies.
Become A Contract Instructor
The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department invites interested arts and recreation instructors to apply online and share their talents and expertise with the Encinitas community.
