A consultant has been hired to conduct a comprehensive Parking Permit Study and recommend updates to Chapter 14.41 of the City of Encinitas Municipal Code.

The first Community Meeting was held on March 11, 2024, for residents to share input regarding parking permit programs in the City.  The consultant presentations from this meeting are available in English and Spanish.

The second and final Community Meeting for the City’s Parking Permit Study was held on Monday, July 29. Draft recommendations were shared by the consultant and public input was received. Any additional public comments can be provided through Friday, August 2 by emailing the consultant directly at Encinitas@DixonResourcesUnlimited.com.

Draft recommendations were shared at the August 12, 2024 Mobility and Traffic Safety Commission Meeting, as well as at the November 7, 2024 Planning Commission Meeting.  The item will be heard by the City Council in January 2025.
